Everything is going great! The girls are meeting the first Wednesday of every month at the local Star Bucks. Some of the original girls are no longer with us, but we are seven strong and going. Five of us have made plans to go to Europe Summer of 2015. I'm so excited for them.

We had a great meeting. Any girl who would like to update this website after each meeting, just let me know when you are ready to take over. Agenda 1. We discuss the progression of taking trips. We've done a field trip, and a camping trip. Now we need to plan a day trip. The last discussion was to the Little White House. Then--next we plan an International trip through Girl Scouts. There are several to choose from. Our deposit would nee to be made in January of 2014, and the trip will be during the summer of 2016. 2. Meredith Broyles came to visit us and talk about what is like to continue in Girl Scouts. She spoke of the opportunity, the benefits, how she managed her time, the expectations, and community service. Thank you, Meredith. FYI-Kathy will be using troop funds ($15 each girl) to resign each girl into the troop. Now is when all the benefit of being a Girl Scout begins. Girls can still be in the troop and participate without feeling obligated to attend each meeting. 3. Then we did some badge work. All girls should continue reading through the MEdia book through page 67 and do the Monitor activities. Over the next couple of meetings the troop will decide and design a project to Redeliver what media means to them. 4. We also decided that for the next portion of the Netiquette badge, we will look at our last 50 texts or emails and answer the questions like - would we say the same to their face? how do we would feel if someone emailed us with the info. Be ready to discuss at the next meeting. 5. We celebrated Kathy's birthday, and then walked to Greene's to celebrate the other March birthdays: Nina and Claire, and the end of cookie sales. 6. Camporee meeting on April 1st is NOT happening, so Kim is going to get with the girls at school to finish that planning. IMPORTANT DATES: Next meeting - April 21st, 2-5 pm we will have our bridging ceremony (Eliza and Logan are organizing) Day Trip at the May meeting - May 19th, 8 am- 6 pm; the Little White House Pool Party Celebration - Tentatively set for August 25th, 2 - 5 pm.
The dates for our Decatur Service Unit Camporee are April 27-28. We are going to leave Saturday morning and return Sunday mid-day.
Activities will include: Night Owl badge activities Trail Ride Riflery Canoeing We are staying in a cabin, per the girls request. Our theme this year is 'Mystery/Detective'. Julia already has a great idea for a skit: Decades of detectives!

Each girl will have their own login, but then their parent has a login too. If you need any help, call me. Our package goal is in fact the number of boxes you plan to sell. Your goal is more like a sentence or paragraph about how you are going to sell, and the service goal is a little about who we are going to donate to, and what our over all goal is for the troop. Parents of Girls who are interested in going to Timber Ridge for Adventure Sports Camp on Saturday, March 3rd need to register online this Wednesday, December 7th at 9:00 am. The link should be: https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/weblink.aspx?name=gscout6&id=1&page=sessions, but in case this doesn't work, go to the Girl Scouts of Atlanta, and go to the calendar 'Events', March 3rd. Click on the event and there will be a link to register. It's $35 for your girl, and $5 for adults. Margaret and I are planning to go with the girls. Anyone else is welcome. You can read the description on that same calendar.
